Universal Orlando Resort just dropped a massive announcement for its groundbreaking new theme park: a brand-new Epic Universe fireworks show titled “Universal Celestial Goodnight.”
Beginning Tuesday, July 7, this brand-new production will officially transform Celestial Park into an expansive, park-wide canvas of light, water, and pyrotechnics to cap off the day.

A Symphony of Scale and Storytelling with Epic Universe Fireworks
What makes this show incredibly distinct is how it utilizes the actual infrastructure of Celestial Park. Rather than focusing on a single central viewing hub, the entire land will literally glisten from end to end—from the Luna areas all the way to Apollo.
Universal Orlando’s award-winning entertainment team has built this experience using an impressive amount of hardware embedded directly into the park’s environment:
-
7 million LED lights are hidden throughout the landscape.
-
Nearly 600 synchronized light fixtures cast dynamic shapes into the night sky.
-
Over 350 larger-than-life fountains are dancing in perfect choreography.
The show functions as an emotional tribute to the five immersive worlds waiting beyond Celestial Park’s portals. Guests can expect the high-energy musical score and visual transitions to directly celebrate the playful energy of SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, the soaring heights of How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, the wizarding wonder of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and the ominous, legendary legends of Dark Universe.

The Ultimate Kiss Goodnight
As seen in Universal’s official conceptual rendering above, the show weaves together illuminated architectural elements like the Constellation Carousel, soaring illuminated water features across the lagoon, and massive bursts of gold and white fireworks framing the stunning backdrop of the Universal Helios Grand Hotel.
Instead of a standard fireworks display, “Universal Celestial Goodnight” aims to be a fully integrated, emotional “kiss goodnight” that pulls the themes of the entire park together into a breathtaking grand finale.
The production runs nightly starting July 7, giving summer travelers the ultimate way to wrap up an epic day of thrills.
